Ngā mōhiohio e pā ana ki tēnei mahi (About this position)

Nelson Marlborough Health has been working closely with its mental health and additions primary and community partners to deliver a Mental Health and Addictions transformation programme. Initiated in 2015/16, this programme started from using the findings of several previous reviews at that time, to identify, test and deliver tangata whāiora and whānau centred service improvement, change and transformation. This new piece of mahi will review and build on that improvement work.

Right now we are looking for a programme lead to lead, facilitate and project manage what priority changes could be made within existing resources. You will be instrumental in shaping co-design and client experiences approaches to help set priority changes to the Nelson Marlborough districts integrated mental health and addiction services.

Through a partnership model with Iwi and primary and community partners and alongside tanagata waiora, whānau and communities we are seeking to build strong levels of tino rangatiratanga, to both protect and enable tino rangatiratanga to thrive.

This fixed-term position, working 64 hours a fortnight, will run through until 30 June 2023.

Ko wai he kaitono tōtika? (Who is an appropriate applicant?)

You will be someone with strong project management skills, with experience overseeing larger scale projects. It will be a great opportunity for you to use your skills in critical thinking, problem solving and change management. You also need to someone with excellent communication (verbal and written) skills, and be able to demonstrate your ability to work with a wide range of audiences and build relationships quickly.

Experience within the healthcare landscape and in co-design and community development would be an advantage.
