About the role 

Are you interested in student safety and wellbeing? Do you enjoy a challenging diverse role?

Do you want to be part of a team that is influencing the ways in which schools and tertiary education providers support student voice and the student experience? 

NZQA administers the Codes of Practice for the pastoral care of international and domestic tertiary students. The Pastoral Care of Students (the Codes) team is responsible for coordinating and ensuring the effectiveness of NZQA's work programme as Codes administrator.

Some travel within New Zealand is required.

Skills and experience

We are looking for an experienced critical thinker, who is motivated to support monitoring and capability-building projects, achieve results, and deliver outstanding service in a changing environment.

Your excellent analytical, communications, and relationship management skills will enable you to work credibly with colleagues, schools, tertiary education providers, education agencies, students and their communities.

To be successful in this role you should have working knowledge of one or both of the Codes at a senior level and hold a relevant degree.
