We have an opportunity for a Service Manager to join our Team supporting the Wellington District, located at Wellington Service Centre. Service Manager roles are pivotal to Corrections and offer you the opportunity to showcase your ability to achieve outcomes through others, your capability as a visible leader and your determination to strive for high performance.
Through the development and implementation of business plans and reporting tools aligned to the overall Ara Poutama Aotearoa (Department of Corrections) strategy for Community Probation, you will monitor risk and enhance service delivery to make our communities safer. By providing strong and effective leadership in all aspects of practice, legislation and offender management, you will maintain quality standards and ensure statutory obligations in line with Department policy.

To be successful in this role you will need to demonstrate the following:
- your skills as a strong and visible leader who engages and motivates staff
- your ability to foster best practice in case management
- your ability and skills in identifying and managing risk
- your proven ability to build strong relationships and make good decisions.
Ideally you will have experience in a Corrections environment or with other organisations that service the Criminal Justice System. Experience working in a public sector environment, or similar, would be advantageous.
