The Health Quality and Safety Commission are recruiting an experienced senior advisor, Measures Library, to lead the publication of technical documents for the Health Quality Intelligence team. This team plays a key role in the Commission's responsibility to improve New Zealand's health services. Its purpose is to make the Commission stronger and more effective through being the acknowledged NZ leaders in measuring, evaluating, and commenting on the quality of health services.
The primary purpose of this position is to lead the development of technical documents that describe relevant measure definitions and inform how measures can be used to influence service and system improvements. This will include participation in stakeholder engagement workshops, leading web-based content management and migration, informing data visualisation experiences and providing advice on how measures are being used to support health service/system quality improvement. This position has a broad and strategic focus given the range of data collected, and measures being reported in the health system.
We are looking for someone motivated to work within a small team to develop an internationally renowned library of measures that will be recognised as an asset to New Zealand's health sector. Your technical knowledge related to health system measurement and improvement will be essential, and you will thrive on developing high quality resources that can be practically applied by diverse stakeholder groups. Working with the senior project manager and key stakeholders, your skills will inform how key measures can be used to influence continuous improvement of healthcare in New Zealand.
