At Let’s Get Wellington Moving (LGWM) they’re passionate about developing and delivering a transport system that supports Wellington’s growth, while making it safer and easier to move around. Their vision is to build a great harbour city, accessible to all, with attractive places, and shared streets.  It’s a $6.4 billion multi-decade programme of investment in Wellington’s transport and urban development future,  and joint initiative between Wellington City Council, Greater Wellington Regional Council, and Waka Kotahi NZ Transport Agency, with  the support of mana whenua partners Taranaki Whānui ki te Upoko o te Ika and Ngāti Toa.

You’ll  build and tautoko strong engagement and partnerships with mana whenua in order to develop and  deliver a stratigic vision that incoorporates mana whenua values and ensures they are adopted  and acknowledged across the LGWM programme.  With responsibility for developing policies, practices, guidelines and toolkits for working effectively with mana whenua, you’ll help shape and guide the delivery of improved economic and social outcomes.

You’ll have a strong understanding of Te Tiriti and its principles and how to apply these in the workplace. You will also understand the importance of Taranaki Whānui ki te Upoko o te Ika and Ngāti Toa tikanga and how to seamlessly introduce their values and beliefs into the LGWM kaupapa. 

You’ll be a natural leader and problem solver able to ensure the LGWM team accepts and embraces the inclusion of mana whenua values in their mahi.
