As a Communications Advisor you'll be responsible for planning and delivering communications to drive behavioural change across the organisation. You will need to build effective working relationships with the Customer Experience Improvement Programme and NZQA Communications teams to plan and deliver best practice communications internally and externally.

Skills and experience

Working as part of this new team, you'll offer: 

  • Minimum three years' previous experience in a communication, stakeholder engagement orientated role, ideally in the education sector.
  • Experience in change management related role, ideally within a transformative programme or project environment.
  • Demonstrable experience of communications planning and delivery, assessing and managing stakeholder engagement.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills suited to a variety of audiences.
  • Well-developed organisational skills with the ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Self-starter, reliable, able to anticipate and take action to minimise impact of demands on others.
  • Expertise in the use of key Microsoft applications, online presentation tools, and using digital media/editing software.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with a wide variety of stakeholders and audiences, both internal and external.
