Ko te kaupapa | About the role
We are looking for an energetic, passionate person to contribute to our work in developing and delivering health promotion programmes at Te Hiringa Hauora | Health Promotion Agency. The focus of our team is on wellbeing through prevention, particularly through tobacco control and minimising gambling harm.
The purpose of the Advisor role is to contribute to the delivery of the work programmes, provide advice to leaders in their decision-making, and build relationships with others working towards shared wellbeing goals.

The role requires someone who is adaptable and thrives in a complex and fast paced environment. Our ideal candidate is a team player who is strong on stakeholder engagement, can build effective relationships, enjoys working on projects, and can manage the day-to-day activities that make the team tick. You will be able to think creatively, work under pressure, and prioritise your work. You will bring an understanding, or desire to understand tikanga Māori and Pacific communities to ensure that we are able to engage respectfully with our audiences. You will either be tertiary qualified or have at least two years' experience as an Advisor. We would also like to hear from you if you have passion and heart and you feel you have the relevant skills to do the job.
