The Social Workers Registration Board (SWRB) is a Crown Entity which is the regulatory authority responsible for the registration of social workers. Its primary function is to protect the safety of members of the public by ensuring that social workers are competent, fit to practise, and accountable for the way in which they practise. A further purpose is to enhance the professionalism of social workers.

The Social Workers Registration Board is experiencing continued growth and an exciting new Senior Communications Advisor opportunity has become available. This role will be reporting directly into the Chief Executive and will have responsibility for the organisation’s communications and engagement function. This role will be crucial in delivering responsive and engaging communications to their employees, members, key partners and stakeholders to lift awareness of the support they provide, and drive business outcomes.
SWRB are looking for an experienced Senior who can bring their skills and expertise to an organisation that is shaking up how they have been doing things. The successful applicant will bring fresh and creative ideas to engage with their audience and stakeholders as well as lead them into the next phase of communication change.

About you:

• Experienced in strategic communications, stakeholder engagement and relationship management to develop collaborative partnerships
• The ability to work across the full suite of communications and engagement ranging from strategy, PR, media, social and content creation.
• Has good political nous and strong risk management
• Strong skills in critical thinking and problem solving
• Experience providing specialist advice to senior and executive leaders.
