Gisborne District Council have a dynamic time ahead, with the implementation of new software to enhance our services and increase efficiencies.
To get the most out of this project, we need a confident and empathetic leader to engage our people and channel our journey through communications, road mapping, implementation and review. This exciting and rare opportunity provides the platform for high job satisfaction, with the abundance of challenges and learnings to gain from the process and the direct impact to the people and resources of Tairāwhiti.

To forge ahead in this role you’ll need…
- A high level of computer literacy and understanding of ICT concepts;
- Well-developed soft skills, with the ability to facilitate groups and influence outcomes;
- At least three years’ experience of managing organisational change;
- A tertiary qualification in change management or related field or additional equivalent work experience;
- An understanding of change management best practice.
Experience of leading change projects within a similar environment would be highly advantageous but isn’t essential. What’s more important is your attitude and passion for embarking on this hugely important project with us.
