Starship Child Health is the leading provider of paediatric care in New Zealand and the South Pacific, providing world-class inpatient, outpatient, trauma, emergency and community care to children, young people and their families and whānau.

We are looking for an experienced Project Manager, Equity to join our growing team. The individual we are seeking must be committed to delivering projects that uphold Te Tiriti o Waitangi and Ōritetanga (equity). This involves mitigating bias and the promotion of Māori health equity.

You will work strategically with key stakeholders to deliver projects, service reviews and improvement initiatives that deliver meaningful change, eliminate inequities and ensure compliance with Te Tiriti o Waitangi. 

In this role you will be expected to:  

  • Centralise mātauranga Māori and taonga tuku iho within projects, programmes of work and service design, development and delivery
  • Plan, execute, monitor and close projects and improvement initiatives within a defined/agreed scope 
  • Ensure all projects are designed to prioritise Māori health equity – supporting the organisation to comply with Te Tiriti o Waitangi 
  • Manage project teams and collaborate with stakeholders, including iwi, hapu and mana whenua.
