What the role encompasses:
As an SAP FICO Functional Consultant your key responsibility is to provide Project and SAP Functional Expertise in support of Auckland Council’s SAP systems. The role includes aspects from gathering requirements to taking it through to design, development, quality assurance, production and roll out. You will liaise with both the technical and non-technical key stakeholders to gather requirements and recommend the most effective way to utilise these modules across the business.

Some of the responsibilities of a SAP FICO Functional Consultant are:

  • Use your SAP knowledge to leverage the enterprise applications to maximize business benefits
  • Provide technical leadership and inputs in projects relating to SAP
  • Hands-on system configuration and timely SAP support.
  • Ensure communications are channeled to all relevant stakeholders
  • Collaborate with the SAP and ICT team members to increase capability in the team.

What we are looking for:

The team is friendly and enthusiastic and we would expect you to enjoy working in a similar environment. From a technical point, you should have a strong working background in the SAP FICO module. Your experience with REFx and PSCD will be highly valuable.

Some key elements we are looking for in a SAP FICO Functional Consultant are:

  • Hands-on SAP Finance solutions delivery and support experience
  • Knowledge of local government, rates and regulatory property process will be advantageous.
  • Proven experience resolving complex business and technical issues with a strong customer focus.
  • ITIL/Agile certification is preferred
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills with knowledge and experience of SDLC
  • Valid New Zealand work rights.
