The Hamilton campus has a number of accommodation options known as Halls of Residence for our students with fully-catered and self-catered options available. The majority of our students that reside on campus are first year students/school leavers.

A room in the halls is so much more than a place to live; it comes with a built-in social life, full support and endless opportunities for students.

The role

We are on the hunt for a motivated housekeeper to join our friendly and supportive team in our halls of residence. To be amazing in this role you will have an approachable and friendly manner that greets our students when you bump into them in the halls. Not only will you be responsible for professional and efficient housekeeping you will be part of a community that supports the success of our students.

About you

If you are friendly with a can do way of thinking and you are described as reliable, trustworthy and hardworking then we would like to hear from you!

To be successful in this role you will demonstrate the following:

  • Have previous cleaning or housekeeping experience
  • Enjoy working on your own to get the job done but also as part of a multi-cultural team
  • Be punctual, flexible and professional
  • Have a positive can do attitude that allows you to get stuck in

Benefits and salary

Our University provides a unique and satisfying work environment with many benefits to our staff including study opportunities, generous superannuation and leave provisions.

The hourly rate for this position is $20.00 per hour and is part year from February to December of each year. Your hours of work will be 32.5 per week, Monday to Friday from 8.30am to 3.30pm.

The primary purpose of the role is to deal with community queries and requests surrounding the control of dogs and stock within the Waikato District.
