About the role 
Reporting to the EA to the CEO, this brand-new position will provide administration support across a number of different areas of the Nursing Council. Day to day, the role will be varied and there will be lots of opportunity to learn and grow.  Some of the mahi you will be involved in will include:  

  • Assisting with scanning, printing and collating Board packs 
  • Arranging travel and venues for Board and other meetings 
  • Providing administration support to the Research and Policy team  
  • Assisting with meeting set up and preparation 
  • Contributing to the wider team to lend a hand where needed 
  • Developing knowledge and understanding of tikanga Māori 

About you 
You’ll be motivated towards your mahi and willing to lend a hand where the team needs it. You’ll be a fast learner who is looking to build on and grow your administration skills. Perhaps you are looking for your first role in administration or you may already be an experienced administrator; we want to hear from you either way! You will also bring:

  • Great communication skills and an ability to build strong working relationships  
  • Outstanding attention to detail 
  • An ability to ‘go with the flow’ and manage a varied workload 
  • An awareness of and commitment to Te Tiriti and culturally safe service provision 
  • A natural ability with technology including the full MS Office suite 
  • A collaborative, team approach 
  • A willingness to learn and grow your skills
