Ngā kōrero mō te tūranga - About the role

In this varied role you will manage the daily operation of the Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR) as well as support upkeep and research on other analytical instrumentation. You will ensure the day to day provision of high quality technical support services for related teaching and research activities for both academics and students.

You will be self-motivated, with a demonstrated capacity to work effectively as a team member and to relate effectively and sensitively to students and staff from a variety of backgrounds and cultures.

  • Extensive experience in the operation of NMR
  • Exceptional organisational and time management skills including proven trouble shooting, error diagnosis and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of health and safety requirements and practices in a laboratory setting is crucial
  • A relevant tertiary qualification is essential as is your ability to work independently with a diverse range of staff, students and stakeholders
  • A current NZ full driver's licence is required

The salary will be commensurate with the level of appointment. Salary will be in the range $74,802 to $86,268 per year, depending on qualifications, skills and experience.
