Part of the wider Corporate Affairs portfolio, the Communications team manages all communications and media relations on behalf of Countdown and Woolworths NZ.
The job we do directly impacts the way New Zealanders think and feel about Countdown, and the Media Relations & Communications Manager is a pivotal role in the team.
You’ll be supported by a superb Communications Advisor, and be part of a caring and friendly wider team which also includes community and sustainability - we love our work, have a good time together, and most importantly, look after each other.
You will need to be a person with a passion for news and strong relationships with media outlets across the country. You should also be someone that can provide strategic communications counsel and expert delivery of communications for a range of projects and initiatives. A wise and calm head when the going gets tough is needed - this can be a tough gig but also incredibly rewarding.
Ideally you’ve worked in a media-facing role in a large business before, with a strong track record of good media relationships and engagement. Are you up to the challenge? Apply now.
