Ko te kaupapa | About the role

The purpose of the Principal Researcher Alcohol role is to provide high quality research expertise to inform progress against the National Alcohol Harm Reduction Framework. The role is also responsible for a programme of research to support the development of policy, practice, and promotional work relating to the Alcohol strategy and delivery of its work programme.

Reporting to our General Manager Insights and Evaluation, this key thought leadership role demonstrates agility, along with strategic and future focused thinking.

You will be experienced Principal Researcher, or an aspiring Senior Researcher looking to extend your career, with a relevant post-graduate qualification. We would encourage applicants to apply who have a background in alcohol or public health research, preferably with a good understanding of Te Ao Māori and/or Te Ao Pasifika.

Our mahi is varied and carried out with passion for the health and wellbeing of ngā tangata o Aotearoa. We are looking for someone who shares this unrelenting pursuit of wellbeing and has the skills, experience and motivation to lead our Insights team.
