Who are we?

Heretaunga Tamatea Settlement Trust (HTST) is the Post Settlement Governance Entity for Heretaunga Tamatea established to receive the redress negotiated by He Toa Takitini settlement of the historical Treaty grievances of Heretaunga Tamatea against the Crown. 

The Role

Due to increased activity within the organisation, the Trust is seeking an experienced Administrator/Committee Clerk who has an understanding of working alongside a Board and providing exceptional administration assistance to the team.

The role is varied and includes all general administration duties, reception, mail, filing, records and archiving, agenda preparation and Board pack compilation via Stellar Library, with a key component being the primary minute taker for all HTST committee meetings, and the Board when required.  

About you

The successful candidate will need to be an experienced administrator who can anticipate needs, be open and flexible with an ability to work within a fast paced changing environment and provide administrative support to the wider team. You’ll also have an understanding of and commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi and knowledge of Ngāti Kahungunu tikanga. Te reo would be highly advantageous.

You’ll be a team player, have excellent minute taking experience and skills within a professional environment, be well organised, methodical and able to ensure the smooth running of the office. 

Skills & experience required:

  • Proven excellent Minute Taking skills in a professional environment
  • Advanced computer and typing skills
  • Reception/customer service experience
  • Strong attention to detail is a must
  • Ability to meet deadlines easily, prioritise and work in fast-paced environments whilst continually displaying an outstanding attention to detail
