Te Paepae Arahi Trust Board is seeking expressions of interest from experienced professionals and leaders with proven ability and experience to positively influence and develop Māori community organisations, and/or other community service providers at a governance level.  Your ability is sought to facilitate, champion, and support Whānau Ora, in delivering Te Paepae Arahi mental health, addictions and wellbeing services as a critical service for our communities in the Te Awakairangi region.

This leadership role requires experience and familiarity in:

  • Mental health and addiction sector in particular the kaupapa Māori services in the broader Wellington region and the associated challenges in this field
  • the health sector in general
  • working and supporting whānau, hapū and iwi 
  • Te Reo me ona Tikanga Māori
  • Governance processes and procedures

If you are passionate about enabling Māori development and community support for our most vulnerable communities at a non-government, community service based level, then we would love to hear from you.

Each Board member receives an honorarium payment per meeting and training and orientation support is negotiable.
