Kaiārahi - Māori Party Leaders’ Office
Working as a trusted senior leader within the Te Pāti Māori Leader's Office, you'll deliver support to the Party Leaders in their parliamentary duties by providing high-quality parliamentary political services, advice, and support.
In this highly varied role, you will be trusted to advise on communications strategy, legislation, policy, parliamentary business, and related matters. This includes preparing for and assisting the Leaders with interviews, oral questions, researching stories and providing analysis. You will provide advice on legislation, research and write media statements and policy papers in portfolio areas. Communication is key, as you will attend meetings and be a regular liaison with journalists, party members, Ministerial offices and the public.
Our ideal candidate will bring a passion for the political environment, experience in Māori communications and Māori policy and advocacy. Fluent Te reo Māori speakers are strongly preferred and will ensure your success in this crucial role.

This is an events-based, fixed-term position linked to the leadership of the parliamentary party, working 40 hours per week. Some flexibility in hours and travel may be required.
