We are seeking expression of interest for Midwifery Educators

About the opportunity
You will be part of the future-focused and dynamic midwifery team, helping Wintec do what it does best – graduate fantastic midwives. We have a commitment to excellence in our teaching and support of midwifery students.
This is your opportunity to experience working as part of the midwifery teaching team to support midwifery students in their journey to become a registered midwife.
You will work with students to support their learning by providing teaching within the degree programme and facilitating student problem solving, reflection on practice and skills development. You will value working collaboratively in a team and ongoing development of your own knowledge and skills.
Are you an ideal candidate?
We are keen to receive expression of interest from registered midwives and midwifery educators that would like to join our team and contribute to the development of the Midwifery workforce across the Waikato region.
If you are a Registered Midwife with at least five years’ experience you could be the perfect candidate. You will need to be:
- Confident with clinical, face to face and online teaching methods.
- Flexible to accommodate changing needs of students and curriculum delivery.
- Hold a Masters or PhD qualification or have commenced post graduate study towards a Masters qualification.
- Have NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa
