Playcentre represents a unique Early Childhood Education (ECE) environment where involvement of whanau is fostered as children learn and develop through play. Each of the 420 Playcentres around the country is cooperatively managed by parents and supported by Playcentre Aotearoa and staff at the national level. This is an exciting time to join the senior leadership team at Playcentre as they enhance all aspects of Playcentre, from what is offered to parents and children, to the processes and systems that sit behind them.
As part of the National Service Centre leadership team you will contributes to Playcentre’s strategy and planning and leads Playcentre Education and Professional Development functions. You will focus on ensuring the design and delivery of high-quality programmes results in consistent student achievement while ensuring programmes meet all Statutory requirements. This is an important, influential leadership role where you will be working closely with a dedicated Playcentre team and external stakeholders including TEC, the Ministry of Education and ERO.
You will be an experienced leader with relevant ECE expertise, including knowledge of ECE legislation, licencing, and good practice standards. In addition to your relevant tertiary qualification, your relationship management skills will be extremely well developed and you will be recognised for you supportive, deliberate and collaborative leadership style and ability to lead with purpose in a bicultural setting.
