Sustainable Design Adviser

As NPDC's Sustainable Design Adviser you will provide sustainable design support for the community, businesses and stakeholders. Your work will promote the Sustainable Homes Design Advisory Service and will incorporate aspects of the Climate Change Action Framework to deliver on Council's commitment to creating a sustainable and a more resilient district.
You will be a pragmatic, solution-orientated person who enjoys working in a collaborative team environment and can inspire others to think and act differently.
To be successful in this position you will have a tertiary qualification in building science, construction, architectural design or a sustainability-related discipline, along with:
- an ability to see the big picture and think strategically, including the development, implementation, and integration of Council strategies, plans and policies
- excellent relationship and interpersonal skills
- stakeholder management experience across government, community, education and industry sectors
- excellent written and verbal communication skills.

We aim to create and sustain a truly rewarding workplace environment for our staff. You can expect to start in this role between $62,214 - $67,743.
