Project Manager SouthSci - Part Time - Fixed Term
Looking for a chance to use your science, networking and engagement skills to make a difference for education and skills in Auckland?
We are looking for a part-time (24 hours per week) project manager to implement an exciting, well-established project to build Auckland young people's engagement in science.
Your main responsibilities will be working with schools and community groups in South and West Auckland to help them design science research projects relevant to their community, connecting them with science experts, supporting the panel to assess applications, collecting project evaluative data, assisting the communications team to celebrate projects via stories, reporting to the funder and assisting project groups to run and complete successfully.
You will have:
Tertiary qualification in at least one aspect of science
Ability to build and maintain task-focused connections across industry representatives, scientists, policy-makers, community organisations, schools and young people
Strong cultural competencies, including connections with M?ori and Pacific communities
You will be joining the enthusiastic team at COMET Auckland, which is a charitable trust and a council-controlled organisation of Auckland Council. Our mission is to drive systems change to make education and skills more effective and equitable across Auckland.
