Do you want be part of a new dynamic team, charged with reforming NZ's tertiary education system, putting learners at the very centre, increasing access for all, and ensuring equity for Māori?
Te Pūkenga is seeking two Hamilton based Executive Assistant super-stars who are ready to support our six new Deputy Chief Executives with their mahi as they collectively lead and manage this new and exciting organisation.
Over the next couple of years, Te Pūkenga will design and deliver a single unified vocational education system where learning is flexible and adaptive to learners’ unique needs, is purposeful and the skills offered meet the expectations of employers in a changing world of work. Your work will contribute directly to the success of the Te Pūkenga transformation.
Applicants should have proven experience in supporting senior executives. Key responsibilities will include diary management, arranging travel bookings, managing incoming and outgoing correspondence and providing secretariat support to leadership and council sub-committee meetings.
These roles will take a lead role in event planning and logistics, including arranging cultural events such as pōwhiri and wānanga.
We are seeking applicants who can bring:
- A high level of computer literacy, including advanced knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge of office procedures, business processes and filing structures
- The ability to relate to a wide range of people at all levels
- Excellent attention to detail, time management, and planning skills
For one of the EA roles, applicants require knowledge of tikanga Māori and demonstrated experience in applying this in the workplace, including organising bicultural and Māori Kaupapa.
