Ko te kaupapa | About the role 

Our mahi is varied and carried out with passion for the health and wellbeing of ngā tangata o Aotearoa. We are looking for someone who is inspired by our mission of the unrelenting pursuit of wellbeing, has skills and experience in the digital design space, and the passion and motivation to enrich our organisation.

Our organisation has grown and developed substantially over the past year, and to support that, a new Digital Design Lead role has been created to support the Digital team with the design process of our digital assets for our public facing websites and campaigns. The successful applicant can expect to:

  • lead the development of design-based thinking, innovative and experimental approaches to product and service solutions, and business change
  • manage and coordinate external design and development partners
  • lead the information architecture design, interaction design, and usability testing within the development team
  • ownership of maintaining our UX and UI guidelines to ensure that our digital assets meet government and web accessibility standards
  • identify opportunities, risks and advice to ensure effective delivery of our digital roadmap
  • support the Digital Product Manager to allocate resources to build team capability and knowledge
  • develop plans that will make a significant difference for Māori and Pasifika.

Nga taonga kei roto I tou kete matauranga | What you bring

As an experienced digital designer, you will have a relevant tertiary qualification and/or extensive and comparable relevant experience. You will have excellent communication, collaboration and proven problem solving skills, experience working at both a detailed and strategic level to champion content and customer experience is crucial and a strong understanding of product design and the development process in an agile environment will allow you to be successful in this role.
