Our mahi is varied and carried out with passion for the health and wellbeing of ngā tangata o Aotearoa. We are looking for someone who is inspired by our mission of the unrelenting pursuit of wellbeing, has skills and experience in the people and culture space, and the passion and motivation to enrich our organisation.

Our organisation has grown and developed substantially over the past year, and to support that, a new People, Culture and Capability team has been created to implement the People Strategy. The Business Partner role, while a generalist, will have a large focus on Capability Development with the opportunity to:

  • bring in-house a Learning Management System and a Performance Management System
  • contribute to design and delivery of organisational leadership and management development framework
  • provide support to Executive Management Team (EMT) and the business on actions which come out of our engagement survey
  • partner with managers to support them through change and complex employment relations
  • contribute to a recruitment strategy which sees an increase in Māori and Pasifika capability attracted to our business
  • support the team in developing collective bargaining strategies for our recently ratified collective agreement
  • provide guidance and mentorship to the People, Culture and Capability Advisor.

Nga taonga kei roto I tou kete matauranga | What you bring 

As an experienced People/Human Resources practitioner, you will have a relevant tertiary qualification and/or extensive and comparable relevant experience. You will have experience in working with leaders to support and lead initiatives in capability development, demonstrate knowledge in learning and development as well as organisational development, and strong communicator who will use their exceptional influencing and negotiation skills to partner with the business to gain buy-in and deliver. Proven advisory experience is a must with confidence in providing support through change and employment relations. Previous experience and a genuine passion for the development of people and knowledge and skills in relation to working with Tangata Whenua and Tagata o le Moana is highly desirable.
