The role | Mō te tūnga
Due to a recent realignment in our organisation we are looking for an Executive Assistant with awesome people and organisational skills to support our Kaihautū who is a member of our Executive Leadership team. You will be part of Te Tohu Rautaki Angitū Māori team whose purpose is to normalise a collaborative data system that demonstrates high value for iwi and Māori.
Starting salary $70,000 - 80,000 negotiable depending on the skills of the successful candidate.
About you | Mōu
It is essential that you have a strong working relationship with the Kaihautū and thrive in an environment focussed on achieving successful outcomes for Māori. Acting as a trusted advisor, you’ll ensure your leader is fully briefed on issues and situations that could affect their decision-making, judgement, relationships and other matters. You’ll fully support them to work at their optimum, anticipating their needs before they even know it, and knowing what needs delivering.
You will be a master of the calendar and events – coordinating work deadlines, appointments and meetings with internal and external groups, presentations, travel and accommodation bookings, organising meetings off-site, and general queries for your leader. Similarly, you’ll be technically savvy and comfortable using Microsoft products, information management systems or content management software.
To succeed in this role, you will bring proven experience as an EA and enjoy supporting a busy executive leader at a strategic and operational level. Working in a calm and professional manner you bring discretion, adaptability and a can-do attitude. You manage problems and challenges with confidence, this comes naturally to you. Able to handle last minute changes you are confident taking charge and making decisions, thriving in a busy and varied activity-based environment. As EA to Kaihautū it is essential you bring a good understanding of te reo and tikanga Māori and ability to liaise confidently with iwi and Māori representatives and groups.
