Odyssey is a well-respected treatment organization with extensive experience in the Criminal Justice environment and have successfully delivered a number of contracts including the Auckland Prison Drug Treatment Programme. 

We are now seeking a permanent full time Kai Tautoko Tikanga – Cultural Support to join our Odyssey team based at Auckland Prison in Paremoremo. 

To be effective in this role you will have experience and be confident in Tikanga Māori, te reo Māori, Te Tiriti o Waitangi, and will be comfortable with mihi/whaikorero, kapa haka and marae protocol. Passionate about working with tangata whaiora, you will be able to work creatively and productively and have an ability to create an environment where they can meet their full potential.

The Auckland Prison Drug Treatment Programme delivers three-month therapeutic programmes and aftercare support for up to 48 men. Your role will culturally support the facilitation of groups, supporting clients in achieving treatment goals and working closely with clinical colleagues to ensure the best possible outcomes for our clients.
