Ngā mōhiohio e pā ana ki tēnei mahi (About this position)

This role will help progress local initiatives in community pharmacy, review performance and improve prescribing in the community, with a focus on working with others to reduce health inequities. 

It will facilitate a more functional multidisciplinary team within the community setting and ensure a consistently high quality of service. It will assist community pharmacy owners to deliver the healthcare Nelson Marlborough Health (NMH) expects from the Integrated Community Pharmacy Service Agreement (ICPSA). This role will also have the opportunity to step up and cover the community pharmacy aspects of the role when the Pharmaceutical Services Manager is on leave.

You will be a considerably experienced NZ registered Pharmacist who knows how the system works and has the passion, dedication and people skills to influence positive change. 

You will need to bring the following skills and experience to this role:

  • Post-graduate qualifications in pharmacy/health preferred  
  • Current NZ APC, or in progress  
  • At least ten years’ experience as a pharmacist 
  • Experience in a similar process improvement / quality improvement role
  • Well-developed communication and analytical skills
  • Team skills, adaptability and a sense of humour. 

Most importantly will be your passion for and a genuine understanding of community pharmacy and its current and future roles in the wider primary health care team.
