The National Hauora Coalition (NHC) seeks a new role of Leader People & Culture for the Executive Leadership Team, to lead all human resources functions and to build a new team. NHC is a Māori-led and culturally-driven primary health organisation that supports solutions for all whānau, especially those communities that are not well served by health and social services. This is delivered through a mix of award-winning programmes, commissioning and valued GP networks. This is expressed as mana whānau whānau ora. The Leader of People & Culture is part of the Executive Leadership Team and reports directly to the Chief Executive. The applicant we are seeking needs to be sufficiently experienced to develop human resources systems and processes from scratch, have the right style with people, take the organisation forward in staff professional development and culture, and in a way that is appropriate to a Tikanga Māori values driven organisation.
NHC has a history of innovation in models, delivery, supporting IT and the role it takes in national advocacy. In 2020 the organisation is on a journey toward one that extends innovation to a model which empowers staff within an agile-focussed model fused with Māori leadership principles. The successful applicant will be one who has a very general skills set across human resources, a style which builds capability in other people, delights in innovative development of human resource systems that reflect Tikanga Māori principles and is insightful and experienced in the development of organisational culture and cascading this through to behaviours and performance.
