To be successful in this role, you will have:
- 5 years’ experience working in the field that relates to: homelessness, social work, nursing, psychology, mental health, alcohol and other drugs, occupational therapy, counselling, social sciences, community development, sociology, support work
- Experience of leading teams and having oversight of practice areas related to vulnerable client groups (homelessness, health, substance use and/or trauma)
- Cultural competencies with knowledge of tikanga me te reo Māori
The successful candidate will be a senior member of the team which adopts a Kaupapa Maori approach and will lead a team of 3 to 5 Key Workers upholding quality and best practice in client management as well as walking alongside people on their recovery journey as they build a sense of wellbeing and strong positive community connections.
Housing First is an exciting programme established by the Auckland City Mission and Lifewise which provides rapid access to housing and wrap around supports to people experiencing chronic homelessness in Auckland city centre.
