Position Overview

The School of Social Work undertakes teaching, research and professional service in the fields of Social Work and Social Policy.

The School is seeking applicants for one position at the level of either Lecturer or Senior Lecturer in Social Work and Social Policy on our Manawatu campus in Palmerston North.

This is a full-time, ongoing position. Applicants are expected to possess a PhD, and be competent and registered social workers who are able to teach into the undergraduate and postgraduate degree and diploma courses supported by the Social Work and Social Policy programme.

Preference may be given to those who can teach across social work theory and practice, social policy and field education courses. The School's programmes are delivered in internal, block, and distance learning modes, so experience in teaching online as well as at tertiary level will also be an advantage.

The research and teaching specialisations of the appointee should complement and reinforce the existing strengths of the School of Social Work.
