We are currently recruiting for two vacant Plumbing, Gasfitting, Drainlaying Lecturer positions. You'll need to have NZ Certification in at least one of these areas or you may be certified in two or three areas.
You'll be involved with apprentices, industry, suppliers and employers. Some of your key duties will include:
- Training apprentices in practical tasks
- Theory lessons in small groups
- Onsite verification of work
- Traveling to workplaces to meet and work with employers and apprentices
The School provides an environment supportive of teaching, applied research and industry/community engagement within a range of programmes.
There is opportunity for both vacant positions to be job share roles and this can be discussed during the recruitment process.

You'll have industry experience and have a current NZ certification Licence in either plumbing, gasfitting or drainlaying. To be successful in this position you'll have a passion for education and be willing to undertake professional development in teaching and learning. You'll be confident communicating with a wide range of people and have strong industry networks.
