As our Secondary School and Community Liaison you'll effectively partner and manage your relationships with Secondary Schools, Private Training Establishments, Government agencies, community groups and Trades Academies to help drive recruitment of prospective students and increase first choice consideration through the delivery of a range of activities.
Whether you're talking to a group of teenagers or to the Principal of a School, you'll be able to strike up a conversation and confidently articulate the key benefits of education and the benefits of studying at Unitec.
Led by the principles of Te Noho Kotahitanga, we are firmly focused on the success of all our students and engaging with the communities we serve.
We have considerably redeveloped our Mt. Albert Campus with our central hub offering open environments merging with collaborative areas, semi-enclosed library spaces and a range of eateries.
The successful applicant should have:
- Be able to engage and inspire individuals and key influencers, motivate large groups, group facilitation skills and experience, particularly with youth.
- Skills in developing strong and positive relationships with key stakeholders.
- A strong customer centric approach.
- Attention to detail and target driven.
- Effective written and oral communication and presentation skills.
- Understanding of tertiary with a relevant qualification.
It is important to us that you have an understanding or desire to learn Te Reo Māori, Tikanga Māori and the values and practices of Kaupapa Māori and a demonstrated understanding of, and, commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi.
