GP (Part Time) – The Youth Health Hub

An exciting opportunity has arisen at Te Puna Manawa HealthWEST for youth friendly General Practitioner’s to join the Te Puna Manawa HealthWEST team, committed to providing youth-friendly and youth-specific health and wellbeing services to young people, particularly to those who are underserved. We are looking for enthusiastic and motivated GP’s to work under a contractor agreement, on a part-time basis, in our Henderson and/or Glenfield based Youth Health Clinics.
About the Role:
You will be contracted to provide GP services for adolescents aged between 12 to 24 years of age throughout the Waitemata region. The role requires working in collaboration with the Youth Health Hub Nurses as well as our wider youth health team. Days of employment are negotiable for the right candidate in line with the service needs.
About the Candidate:
The ideal candidate will be vocationally registered and passionate about delivering culturally informed interventions for Rangatahi and their whānau. You need to be an excellent communicator, able to establish a good rapport with young people from diverse backgrounds, as well as sound clinical competence, and familiarity with using the HEeADSSS assessment tool. Great IT skills and proficient knowledge of Medtech desirable.
