About the opportunity

An exciting opportunity has emerged and we're looking for a Sustainability Coordinator to join our collaborative and supportive team.

This position supports our Sustainability Manager by coordinating related initiatives, events and key sustainability projects while building relationships and communicating effectively with our stakeholders.

In this position you'll:

  • Provide logistical support for campaigns/initiatives and events
  • Measure the performance of events and initiatives
  • Support promotional activities around campus
  • Draft written and visual communication content (i.e. event invites, promo posters, and newsletter updates).
  • Assist with managing budgets
  • Research and analyse key sustainability issues
  • Attend key networking and stakeholder meetings as a representative of the Unitec sustainability team
  • Capture minutes at relevant meetings (i.e. sustainability hui's) and follow up on actions post meetings

About you

We are looking for you to have high attention to detail and strong organisational and time management skills along with experience in event and project management.

You'll be comfortable working in a changing environment with an agile approach to work and bring with you excellent written and verbal communication skills. You'll also have a sound knowledge of MS Office and ideally some experience with photo editing software (i.e. Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, etc.)
