Mary Potter Hospice provides free palliative care for the people of the Wellington Region. We have a 12 bedded Inpatient Unit, and a strong Community team. We take a multi-disciplinary approach in order to provide holistic care for whānau.

Mary Potter Hospice is seeking to appoint a Kaiārahi to;
- support staff and volunteers in the development of mana enhancing practice.
- provide leadership and advice to staff, to ensure culturally safe services are accessible to Māori patients and their whānau.
- increase the awareness with te iwi Māori and Māori communities of our service.
- collaborate with te iwi Māori and Māori health providers in the delivery of mutually beneficial compassionate community educational and promotional activity.
This is a unique role for a unique individual who has a commitment to ensure a safe and appropriate service is in place for whānau towards the end of life and in bereavement. Your understanding of, and ability to move comfortably in te Ao Māori is crucial to the success of this role. Your experience working in the health and palliative care sectors is valuable.
