Kahui Tautoko Consulting Ltd (KTCL) is a Māori-owned consulting company operating since 2000, that is seeking to employ a full-time Senior Project Manager for its New Zealand operation. KTCL also has offices in Vancouver, Canada (since 2008) and Hawai’i, USA (since 2018). KTCL provides high quality consultancy services to Government and indigenous organisations interested in indigenous community development. Services include evaluation, planning, proposal writing, analysis and reporting, project and event management, service / organisation reviews and assessments, indigenous cultural safety projects and various capacitybuilding services for indigenous organisations. The Senior Project Manager’s role is to manage assigned clientprojects under the guidance of Senior Consultant(s). From time to time the position may be required to support work in the Canada or USA office. Qualifications and competencies include:

  • High levels of experience in developing and sustaining successful and long term relationships with indigenous people is absolutely essential – including ability to demonstrate the kaupapa Maori values of KTCL (see

  • A Masters level degree (highly desirable

  • Drivers license and current passport essential
  • Ability to travel across New Zealand if required for projects (and occasionally may include international travel)

  • Competency in Te Reo Māori desirable but not essential

  • Sound knowledge of and ability to use Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook as well as Dropbox,

    Skype and Zoom. Skills in using Publisher or a similar graphic / visual tool would be desirable

  • Strong qualitative and quantitative analytical skills and report writing experience

  • Competency in project management, maintaining timelines and meeting deadlines

  • Ability to work independently but remain connected with a small team (sometimes remotely)
