Fonterra Summer Internship Programme 2019

Fonterra - Dairy for life

Closing Date : 05 May 2019

Start your Adventure with Fonterra

We're a global dairy nutrition company owned by 10,000 farmers and their families, united by a fundamental belief in the power of dairy to make a difference.  We are committed to producing dairy nutrition in a way that cares for people, animals and the land, bringing value to communities and return the most value for our farmers.

The opportunities after completion of our Programme are many - from supply chain, human resources, sales and marketing through to accounting and finance, we’re looking ahead and building for the future of our cooperative. But we really can’t do that without you, today’s students and tomorrow’s leaders. That’s why we don’t just employ students, we nurture, develop and train them.

Sneak peak

Our 12-week Internship Programme provides skills development, training and professional experiences. Not only do you learn about our Cooperative, you will apply that knowledge to real life projects.

This is a popular path. Many of our interns are offered full-time positions once they have completed their studies. You'll put into practice what you've been studying at university and head back to your studies confident that your adventure has already started. So, show us what you're capable of and you could be invited to join us after graduation.

What it takes to be part of our Summer Internship Programme?

  • In your second year of undergraduate study and/or graduating by January 2021
  • GPA average of a B and above
  • Ongoing work rights in New Zealand at the time of application
  • Graduates from all disciplines are eligible to apply if they meet the requirements above

A tip:

All your hard work at University will speak for itself through your academic results. Additionally, we want to hear about how you’ve led (or be involved in) voluntary work in your community and how it has made a difference – much the same as the work we do every day across the globe in many different ways.

Dates to keep in mind

Applications open on Monday 8thApril 2019 and close Sunday 5thMay.  The programme will begin in November 2019. If your initial application is successful, you’ll be invited to participate in several recruitment stages that may include: video interviews and online testing, assessment centres, face-to-face interviews, and pre-employment checks.
