We are seeking a Research Officer to join our team working on a funded Ako Aotearoa Project.
You will be able to demonstrate your excellent research skills and experience in the collation, analysis and interpretation of data related to the project which is focused on developing institutional capability to design inclusive, culturally responsive, rewarding and fulfilling education for Māori and Pacific students.
You will be familiar with current higher education research trends, particularly as related to the objectives of the project and to relevant tertiary teaching development. Experience working with Māori and/or Pacific communities in New Zealand and knowledge of Māori and/or Pacific cultures and languages is essential. Fluency in te reo Māori and/or at least one Pacific language is preferred.
You will have a Masters degree in a relevant field with a high quality research component, with a PhD preferred. A high level of English oral and written skills is essential along with a strong work ethic and the ability to support and work in research teams comprised of experienced researchers, community partners and students.
Salary will be in the range of NZ$64,503 to $75,000 per year, depending on qualifications, skills and experience.
This position is fixed term until 18 December 2020.
