Are you passionate about inspiring New Zealanders to lead healthier lives? Do you have demonstrated experience and success in leading the corporate service functions of an organisation to provide supportive and enabling business services? Can you provide the Chief Executive with advice? 

We are looking for a General Manager who can lead the agency’s Corporate Services group with team responsibilities for finance, human resources, information services, health and safety, procurement, property, legal and office services. Reporting to the Chief Executive, this is an opportunity to contribute to the management of HPA as a member of the Executive Management Team.

The Health Promotion Agency - Te Hiringa Hauora - leads and delivers innovative, high quality and cost effective national health promotion initiatives. As a Crown entity, we work with partners including medical professionals, researchers and academics, community groups, public health advocates, industry groups and others who are aligned to our goals. 

The successful candidate is likely to be a Chartered Accountant or equivalent, familiar with core corporate services functions and comfortable engaging at Chief Executive and Board level as required. The role is Wellington-based and includes some national travel.
