Are you looking for an exciting opportunity to work with kura where you can make a difference? We are looking for a School Relationship Manager Māori to join our top performing School Quality Assurance and Liaison team.
Our team is the public face of NZQA in secondary schools. We are responsible for managing and monitoring assessment nationally and providing support for schools in their assessment processes. As our Relationship Managers support schools in allocated regions, regular travel involving some overnight stays is required.
This Wellington-based position involves professional liaison with wharekura in the upper North Island. Confidence in Te Ao Māori and competence in Te Reo me ngā tikanga Māori are essential.
We are looking for someone with experience of managing assessment processes in the role of Principal's Nominee, senior or middle management. Exceptional interpersonal and problem-solving skills and a desire to help schools provide quality assessment opportunities to students is required.
NZQA is accountable for managing the New Zealand Qualifications Framework, administering the secondary school assessment system, independent quality assurance of non-university education providers, qualifications recognition and standard setting for some specified unit standards.
NZQA has a Te Reo Māori bilingual goal “Whakapakari” to be achieved in 2020.
