An opportunity has arisen for an experienced HR practitioner to support the Central Region.
Reporting into the Lead HR, this is a true HR Generalist role that will see you provide both operational and strategic HR support to your region. Your day will be varied and you will be involved in ER, Performance Management, Training and Development, Recruitment and Change Management.

This is very much a “roll up your sleeves”, hands on position that will see you focussed on lifting capability and coaching managers across your region. You will be able to make a real difference to the business by ensuring that the ongoing development of best practice HR is adopted, allowing Manager’s operational freedom to lead and develop their people and drive positive outcomes.
You will be practical and pragmatic and your approach will be informed by our values of Te Aroha, Te Whakapono, Ngā Ture, Kotahitanga.
You will be able to clearly demonstrate:
- At least 3- 5 years’ experience in a generalist HR role
- Solid understanding of current HR practice and demonstrated knowledge of NZ employment legislation.
- Experience working within a kaupapa Māori Framework or educational framework would be highly regarded, although not essential.
- Previous coaching and facilitation/training skills.
- A full, clean driver’s licence.
A Diploma or Bachelor Degree (HR Management or Business Management) is required for this role and the successful candidate will be required to undergo a Criminal Convictions Check.
