Creative New Zealand, the Arts Council of New Zealand Toi Aotearoa, is the national arts development organisation. We support, develop, and advocate for the arts, for the benefit of all New Zealanders. 

We are on the lookout for a Coordinator & Administrator to join the Māori Strategy and Partnerships team.

About the role

The job plays a vital support role in Creative New Zealand’s and this team’s objectives by providing administrative services to support the Senior Manager; and coordination of Māori Strategy and Partnership programmes, including assisting with the development of programme documentation and project plans, tracking budgets, creating communications (e.g. invitations/newsletters), maintaining programme information and data, arranging workshops and events, supporting the statutory Māori Komiti with minute taking, and organising team travel.

About you

  • You’ll be an experienced administrator capable of working well with senior executives and Board members
  • You will have the ability to create calmness and order in our fast-paced team
  • You’ll have exceptional MS Office skills 
  • You will be extremely organised and can wear many hats at the same time
  • Experience working within a Māori context is essential
  • An understanding of Te Reo and the Treaty of Waitangi would be an advantage
  • Experience in the arts and/or in public organisations would be a bonus.
