Te Pua Wānanga ki te Ao is a leading Faculty of Māori and Indigenous Studies in Aotearoa/New Zealand with a significant focus on teaching innovation and interdisciplinary research. Our research and teaching actively promotes Māori and indigenous people's languages, cultures and self-determination through innovative pedagogies and practices.
We are looking to appoint an academic scholar to enhance the development of our programmes at the new Tauranga campus.
The successful applicant will already have a relevant Doctorate, or be enrolled in a PhD programme in a relevant discipline. Applicants should demonstrate teaching excellence at the undergraduate level, as well as extant scholarship and publications, which indicate a commitment to the development of a research programme, including postgraduate supervision. Demonstrated ability to contribute to applications for external research funding is also required as is a commitment to using innovative and culturally responsive teaching approaches.
Salary range for Lecturers is NZ$74,034 to $89,163 per year, depending on qualifications, skills and experience.
