Advisor Operational Policy 

Operational Policy and Business Improvement team, Community Operations

Do you want to play an important part in developing operational policy and implementing business improvement so as to support community organisations and individuals throughout New Zealand? Do you want to work in a busy work environment and on multiple projects? 

If so, this could be a great position for you! 

A fixed term position or secondment opportunity for an advisor until the end of June 2019 has been created within the Operational Policy team. The role entails drafting operational policy, investigating and implementing business improvement initiatives, providing Secretariat services to a number of decision making bodies as well as drafting official correspondence within the wider Operational Policy and Business Improvement team.

This position involves close liaison with 16 regional offices throughout New Zealand and across the Department of Internal Affairs. In addition there are key external relationships with Minister’s offices, National Community Organisation Grants Scheme Committee, the Lottery Grants Board, other Government departments as well as a range of not-for-profit organisations. Applicants must have excellent writing and presenting skills and be currently available to work within New Zealand. Prior experience of community granting processes, working in an operational policy environment or working with community organisations would be an advantage.
