The Developing Mathematical Inquiry Communities (DMIC) project is focused on developing teacher expertise, pedagogical leadership, what it takes to develop in-class mentoring expertise, and conditions for sustainability and ongoing improvement. We see student engagement in collaborative mathematical discourse as an essential component for their learning of mathematics with understanding.
The project team has grown, and we are currently working with more than 77 schools across NZ. Our hardworking mentors and administration team need the coordination and support of a talented Project Leader. As Project Leader you will ensure all deliverables for existing contracts are achieved, that the DMIC leadership and workforce is well supported, and will seek new opportunities to sustain and grow DMIC over the long term.
The position must be based out of Massey Albany campus and requires some travel across of variety of geographical locations. The role is a 24 month full-time (37.5 hours per week) fixed term position with interviews for shortlisted applicants expected to be undertaken on the 25th and 26th of October.
