Education is constantly changing and so are we. We're creating a world-class, future focused learning and teaching environment.

At Unitec our goal is a great job for every graduate. To deliver this we need strong partnerships with industry and our communities to give our graduates the skills and experience they need to meet current and future workforce needs.

Your position

As a Technician-Plumbing at Unitec, you'll be a part of the Construction, Infrastructure and Engineering team. You will be responsible for looking after the maintenance and repair of machinery and equipment, the preparation of teaching spaces, course materials, logistical support and technical advice.

You will assist our Academic Staff with any technical support on programmes such as plumbing, gas-fitting and/or drain-laying, where you will drive and uphold our Health and Safety guidelines here at Unitec.

Your experience

As a hands-on trades specialist, you'll join us with experience in plumbing, gas-fitting and/or drain-laying. You'll hold a relevant level three certificate, along with a good understanding of the equipment associated with plumbing, gas fitting and drain laying.

Ideally, you'll have experience in the tertiary sector or you're an experienced trade assistant. Perhaps you're working in a retailer that specialises in plumbing equipment.

Your passion for health and safety will lead you to be a mentor in this space.

In exchange for your hard work

You will receive a competitive salary and benefits and opportunities for professional development. In addition, there is a gym with discounted membership for staff, an on-site child care facility, free parking, and the chance to give back to tomorrow's generation.
