At the Office of Treaty Settlements there’s a real opportunity to be a part of New Zealand's future - one that’s watched by the rest of the world. Our work is incredibly exciting and fast-paced. If this sounds like you, we would love you to join our great team!! We're looking for talented and motivated people to work with us to negotiate the settlement of historical Treaty claims, build positive relationships between the Crown and Māori, and administer the Marine and Coastal Area (Takutai Moana) Act. If you would like to see the results of your work first-hand, the Office of Treaty Settlements, based in Wellington, invites you to apply for the position of Analyst.

Every day is different: you might lead work on a wide range of issues from historical to conservation lands, draft reports to Ministers and develop deeds settling historical Treaty claims with much in between. To be successful in the Analyst role you should have at least one to two years’ experience as an Analyst (Treaty settlement experience is desirable).

When you join us we’ll provide you with experiences, variety and challenges that will enhance your career. You will work alongside, and learn from, colleagues who are experts in Treaty negotiations from mandating, negotiating agreements, deeds of settlements through to implementation. You’ll develop your leadership skills by contributing to the broader capability of the office.

We welcome applications for permanent, fixed term or secondment opportunities into these roles.
