An exciting Public Health Nurse opportunity has become available for an advanced Clinical Nurse Specialist.

This is an exciting Public Health Nurse opportunity for an advanced Clinical Nurse Specialist. 

The Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) Disease Control provides specialist nursing advice, care and expertise, both in delivering direct client care and in support of public health nursing staff in the Healthy Environments and Disease Control Group (HEDC) caring for clients in the area of communicable disease and housing related health conditions for the greater Wellington region. This is a permanent 0.8FTE role.

As CNS you will role model expert clinical skills, promote best practice, facilitate interdisciplinary collaboration and provide education and coaching. A key focus will be to also develop practice and protocols within the disease control team to enhance quality, excellence and professionalism in the delivery of Public Health Nursing.

As part of the HEDC Leadership Team you will bring your clinical expertise to assist our strategic and operational decisions, ensuring our service continues to provide high quality clinical care to the whanau community. 

Improving the health and well being of Maori, Pacific Peoples’ and children are key priorities for Regional Public Health. We would like to hear from you if you have experience working with these communities.
